Minus Sign

The minus sign is written as an horizontal line:

−

The minus sign indicates subtraction operation of 2 numbers or expressions.

For example:

4 − 3

means 4 minus 3, which is the subtraction of 4 and 3, which is equal to 1.

The minus sign is located on the computer's keyboard to the sight of the zero digit button.
